Take This With You

Of all the things that happened today, I hope that when my kids are recounting their childhoods on the therapists' couch, they remember this rather than their Mom throwing away a popsicle when time out didn't seem to be working. Because, kids, this is the kind of stuff we do, even if I was not as skilled as my pregnant friend to safely take you on the scooter ride myself.
As for you, Will, who was tortured by being a spectator only to this scooter thrill ride, I let you do this.

I love it! Everyone should get to ride around on scooters and open umbrellas whenever and wherever they feel like it!

Sweet! That looks like so much fun! Elise wants to give Andrew "a hug."

Isn't it sad that your kids will certainly remember the time when you lost it and not all the times you were kind and patient and FUN! Way to go. Great to document this if they ever start complaining.

Oh, I think your kids will remember more of this. You are a very fun mom, Alexandra!

I was looking at this blog and Erik walked past me and said "Hey I think I know [the girl on the scooter]." He's always quite skeptical when I claim I know someone from law school, so I reciprocated the skepticism. If the scooter-girl is named Abby I think that I'll have to concede on this one.
Thanks for the birthday wishes--if it makes you feel better, Brock's gray hair (and mine too) makes him look much older than he actually is. And wouldn't you prefer to be older (with the added wisdom) but look younger (because you do)?

Fun! Did you get the tickets for the easter egg hunt?
