The Universe Just Reminded Me

"All identities--awe-filled teenage girl, independent woman in her 20s, love-besotted mother--are astonishingly, mournfully brief."

You have absolutely beautiful skin. I'm jealous.

And hair! Have you always had red highlights? It's so pretty. Will has stunning eyes.

i am wearing makeup. there really is nothing to be jealous of, unfortunately. skin and hair are the product of lighting, but i take what i can get. thanks!

How darling!

And now I suppose you are going to confess that William has blue-tinted contact lenses & you've peroxided his baby hair?

I am right in the thick of the love-besotted mother phase, and I resent you for reminding me that it won't last! :)

Sigh. I suppose that's why I keep having more babies. I'm addicted to the mother-high. Looks like you're enjoying it too.

And Will sure looks like a Cannon in that picture!

Great photo - you are such a stylish mom! I agree certain things in life go by way too quickly......

Hi--I just found you through Juliana's blog, but as a fellow ex-lawyer now staying at home raising 3 boys I figured I needed to say hi.

You have a beautiful family. I'll stop by and read more when it's not so late for me tonight.

You always seem to say exactly what I am thinking -except for much more poetically. I have just been thinking since looking at some photos last night about how time passes too quickly. Thanks for putting words to my thoughts!

I am so sad that I won't be seeing Will. He is just adorable! I love those "Cannon Blue Eyes!!"

I'm so excited to see you guys on Saturday! Will's hair has really come in, hasn't it? He's adorable!

I don't think I miss babies just yet. I was looking back at photos of Benjamin the other day, and I realized that although he's lost almost all of his baby fat, he has gotten infinately more fun. I'm sure it will all change with the second...or so I've heard.

Alex, I too feel like we missed out by not being better friends in law school. And I can't even really account for what took up all of my time, except for man-drama. Alas, perhaps Erik's residency will take him to the d.c. area....

I cannot take credit for the quote. It is from Real Simple magazine.
